OUT@Comcast Community Building

Whether through financial support, volunteers, or other ways, Comcast OUT has been an active partner for Pride Northwest since 2015.

At Comcast, diversity and inclusion is not just a one-time initiative or program with an expiration date. It is ingrained in how we operate, and it has become a competitive business advantage for us.
Launched in 2015, the OUT@Comcast employee resource group is a volunteer organization open to all employees. The goal is to become best-in-class for LGBTQ inclusion among our employees, customers, and community. OUT provides networking opportunities, learning & speaker series, access to senior leadership and meaningful volunteer opportunities to its LGBTQ and straight ally members: “You don’t have to be to belong.”

OUT contributes to an LGBTQ aware and inclusive culture and supports Comcast’s goal of attracting, developing, retaining, and engaging diverse talent. A diverse and open workplace leads to an increase in creativity, innovation, and new ideas. In turn, these ideas are the foundation of our leadership at the nexus of technology and entertainment.

Technology and innovation are at the heart of the Comcast mission. With Xfinity X1, Comcast has changed the way consumers experience entertainment both inside and outside of their homes. Comcast is dedicated to providing our customers with a whole home solution of products that fit various lifestyle needs and provides the most reliable service. Comcast is devoted to ensuring a positive customer experience while providing best-in-class service and entertainment.

Outside of delivering superior service and products, Comcast continues to invest its resources in ways that help communities realize the transformative potential of media and technology to solve problems, improve lives, and create opportunity. We’re committed to increasing access to technology, providing skills that help individuals fully participate in the digital economy, and empowering innovators, entrepreneurs and our own employees to use media and technology for good.

With a spirit of volunteerism and service throughout the Comcast culture, our local employees dedicate more than 10,000 volunteer hours a year to community organizations, and as an organization, Comcast donates more than $3 million in cash and in-kind contributions right here in Oregon and SW Washington. After all, this is our home too, and we’re proud to help make change happen, and extremely proud to support PRIDE NW. As one employee shared: “PRIDE is the manifestation of the LGBTQ community’s inherent existence and a tool of empowerment to increase our visibility; a celebration of diversity and inclusion. #Pride.”
