Portland Pride Waterfront Festival and Parade Postponed

Hi everyone,

Due to the unprecedented circumstances we all find ourselves in at this time, Pride Northwest has made the incredibly difficult decision to postpone the 2020 Portland Pride Waterfront Festival and Parade.

This was not an easy decision to make. In a world already filled with difficulty for LGBTQ+ people, we know all of the ways that Pride is important to our people. We see it every year, it is what drives us. We also know the role we can and should play in ensuring the health and well-being of our community. At this moment in time, this is our priority.

Pride Northwest is committed to working with local officials and our partners to identify a later date and what Pride might look like for 2020. In the meantime, we are collaborating with other partners to find ways to keep our community connected, seen, and celebrated. We will also be shifting our short-term focus to ways in which we can support our community in this critical time.

As things continue to develop and to change (daily at this point), look for updates in the coming weeks and months. Thank you to our community and to our allies, for your continued support and commitment to Pride Northwest and to all LGBTQ+ people. Take care of yourselves and of each other. That is, after all, what our community does best.
