Community Resilience Drive

Community Resilience Drive 2024

In its role as an intermediary nonprofit organization, Pride Northwest supports and serves as a connector between resources and grassroots initiatives and advocates, who are working on the ground to address (and meet) community needs. This support includes funding, technical assistance, capacity-building, networking opportunities, and more to support those organizations in maximizing their impact, intentionally working to center the perspectives and efforts of Black, Indigenous and Queer People of Color community organizers. Over the last four years, our efforts have included sponsoring over 50 (non-Pride Northwest) community events, fiscally sponsoring several LGBTQIA2S+ grassroots and Pride organizations, providing end-of-life funding for two community members, employing hundreds of LGBTQIA2S+ artists and performers (including during the pandemic shutdown), and providing economic opportunities for dozens of LGBTQIA2S+ makers and artisans.

Pride Northwest is, by design, a non-profit organization with the flexibility to mobilize in response to urgent and emerging community needs. Which is supported by our Community Resilience Program. During the big winter storm of January 2024, we activated a temporary warming shelter for over four dozen (both housed and unhoused) community members for four days. Through our annual 2023-2024 Community Resilience Drive, Pride Northwest also collected and distributed over 3000 resource items, including clothing, hygiene, warming products and food.

GIve!Guide 2024 Recap

This year we partnered with Willamette Week for the Give!Guide to spotlight need in our community and raise critical resources to meet that need.

Willamette Week’s Give!Guide is Portland’s easiest path to year end giving. A key goal of the campaign is to build a culture of active citizenship and young philanthropists.

We want to thank everyone who supported our efforts during this campaign!

Pride Northwest Community Support Wish List

Each year Pride Northwest holds a Fall and Winter Community Impact Drive. This effort supports organizations that focus on the needs of our unhoused and low-income community members. This wish list is part of that annual effort. Find our wishlist below! Thank you for your support!
